11 reasons why Ranveer Singh starrer 83 had a dismal run and has minimal hope to cover the lost ground: 83 Box Office Debacle

The film 83 is a documentary of the 1983 World Cup in which Ranveer Singh is playing the lead role of former Indian captain Mr. Kapil Dev. Before it came out, it looked like the film will do great business after its release, but all speculations go in vain if it doesn’t do well on weekends.

As a cricket lover, I watch this film, and there are many reasons for the failure of the film, not only in the film but also about the outside workers who work for the films.

11 Reasons Why Ranveer Singh starrer 83 had a disappointing performance and has minimal hope of covering the ground it lost 83 at the box office (1)

First of all we had to focus on the problems or reasons related to the film

no emotional clause: There is only one emotional scene in the whole film where the kids of the audience cheer our team or else no emotional stuff happens in the whole movie.

no drama: No play engages the audience like a sports film Lagaan, but the film depicts the culture of their village. Various characters show their talent and make the film very interesting.

historical film: One of the biggest reasons is that this is a historical film and everyone knows history.

no suspenseEveryone knows about 1983 cup, how India win. There are different stories about that World Cup, so the story is known to everyone, so there is no suspense in the film.

These are all internal reasons, now it is the turn of external reasons.

Bad release timing:-The release time of the movie is terrible as it faces a huge competition with Pushpa and Spiderman movies which is going great, because people have options, so it depends on their choice what they want to watch or where they want to spend their money.

Arrogant Delivery Team:- Some theaters are not showing the film due to the arrogant behavior of the distributor with the exhibitors. They are forcing them to accept terms for higher revenue, and do 100% shows for two weeks.

Bad Marketing and PR Strategies:-

Another reason that if you don’t promote for the film then the producers don’t have money for the promotion, because that’s how the audience gets attracted towards the film.

Marketing is aggressive, but most of the marketing is in the wrong direction. Most of the money is spent in certain states only.
