anishwar gautam is an Indian professional cricketer, who came to prominence in February 2022 as a member of the winning Indian team in 2022 ICC (International Cricket Council) Under-19 Cricket World Cup, This was India’s fourth consecutive appearance in the finals of the tournament after losing attempts in 2016 and 2020 and winning campaigns in 2018. This was also the 5th time that India won the trophy after victorious campaigns in 2000, 2008, 2012 and 2018.   1. just before 2021 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup Which was held in the last 2 weeks of December 2021, BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India), the governing body for the sport in India, organized a tri-series to help the Indian team prepare. Asia Cup, The series consisted of 2 teams from India (India Under-19A and India Under-19B) along with the Bangladesh national Under-19 team. Anishwar was named captain of India’s U-19B team and led them to the finals of the preparatory tournament.
  2. Despite this, he could not make it to the playing XI in any of India’s 5 matches in 2021 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup And this trend continued in the opening match of India’s campaign against South Africa in 2022. ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup,
  3. However, soon after that match, news broke that regular captain Yash Dhul and 5 other members of the Indian team had been tested positive for COVID-19. This meant that all those players had to miss the next (and last) 2 matches of the group stage against Ireland and Uganda. This allowed Anishwar to claim India’s playing XI in those 2 matches.
  4. The match against Ireland was his youth ODI debut. He didn’t get a chance to bat as India scored 307/5 but picked up 2 wickets in only 4 overs he got to bowl.
  5. Against Uganda, he came to bat only in the 48th over, when India had already posted a mammoth total of 383/5. His cameo of 12 runs in 9 balls helped India cross the 400-run mark. India then bundled out Uganda for just 79 runs and beat them by 326 runs. This was the second largest victory margin in the history of Youth ODIs.
  6. Once the first-choice player returned from recovery from COVID-19, Anishwar had to make it to the playing XI for the rest of India’s matches (quarter-final, semi-final and final).
  7. 2022. In IPL (Indian Premier League) mega auction held in February 2022, he was acquired by Royal Challengers Bangalore For INR 20 Lakh (USD 26k).
