After being homeschooled by her mother during her elementary school years, Anna attended the Cab Calloway School of the Arts in Wilmington, where she discovered her passion for acting. In 2017, she graduated from Texas State University with a BFA in Musical Theatre.

Ana made her Broadway debut in 2017 as Andrea and as an understudy to T’Mouni in Once on This Island, a musical based on a Caribbean folk tale. Her outstanding ensemble cast earned her a Drama Desk Award nomination. In 2019, she played Catherine Parr in the North American tour of Six, a musical that originated in London and became a sensation.
She continued to play the role in the Broadway production, which opened in March 2020 but had to be closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. However, the cast recorded an album that was nominated for Best Musical Theater Album at the Grammy Awards.
