Roger studied at a Jesuit seminary and conducted community service projects in the Bronx. His father used to work for a community service organization, but now works as an assistant commissioner at the New York City Department of Health.
His mother also works for NYC, but she specializes in education as she was a teacher in the past. Chris attended Hunter College High School in New York City. He later enrolled at Brown University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy. While at Brown, he worked with the Production Workshop, a student theater group.
