Josephine started taking acting classes at a very young age. In the year 2012, he started taking acting classes at the renowned Perth Film School. She started appearing in several short films at the age of 14 such as Sex Aid (2013), When Separating (2013), and Gypsy Blood (2014). She made her first screen appearance in the year 2017 in the indie film Pulse, which was screened at film festivals. Josephine also starred as a supporting actress in the 2017 American horror film Wish Up, starring opposite Joy King. He made his TV debut in 2017 on the Australian series Wolf Creek.

She is the youngest daughter of Stephen Langford, flying doctor and director of medical services at the Royal Flying Doctor Service Western Operations, and pediatrician Elizabeth Greene. His older sister, Katherine Langford, is a famous actress.

Since childhood, he became interested in music and played the saxophone, violin and piano.
