He studied at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia before attending the College of Sports Media in Toronto, which led to his first broadcasting job at Thunder Bay Television. After two years of anchoring and reporting, Matt joined CTV Ottawa in 2013 as the Weekend Weather Anchor. Since then, he has held various roles including anchoring CTV News at Six on the weekend, hosting a weekend radio show on CFRA, and reporting on the inaugural season of the Redbacks. Currently, he can be seen at the desk for CTV News on weekdays at Five and 11:30.
