Praveen Kumar Sobti is an Indian sportsperson, actor, former BSF soldier. He became famous after the role of Bheem in the famous serial Mahabharata, He joined the BSF at the age of just 20. Praveen has represented India twice at the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and Olympics. Praveen won 4 medals in Asian Games and one silver medal in Commonwealth Games.
Then he started his acting journey. He acted in more than 50 films and serials. Praveen made his debut with the film Defense in 1981. In 1988, he started working as Bheem in BR Chopra’s Mahabharat. In 2013, Praveen became active in politics. He joined AAP and contested from Delhi on AAP ticket but lost. In 2014, he left AAP and joined BJP.
