His father, Stanley Klein, is involved in real estate and currently works as a contractor, while his mother, Saran Warner is a travel agent. He is a US citizen of White Caucasian ethnicity.

He received his bachelor’s degree from Indianapolis and is a graduate of North Central High School, graduating in 1979. While at North Central High School, he was part of the high school’s brain game group. Ronald earned his bachelor’s degree summa cum lade from Georgetown University in 1983 at the age of 22. Klein was the court clerk for Supreme Court Justice Brian White. He served as chief counsel to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, where his responsibilities included overseeing the work of the legal staff on constitutional, criminal, antitrust and Supreme Court nominations. Ron also served as the legislative director for US Representative Ed Markey.

Clinton Administration

Klein joined the Clinton-Gore campaign and was involved in both Bill Clinton’s presidential campaigns. At the White House, Klein served as assistant legal counsel to the president, leading the judge-selection effort and leading the team that won judicial confirmation, Ruth Bader Ginsburg. He also became an advisor to the Chief of Staff and Attorney General Janet Reno.
