Tiffany Smiley was born in 1983 and raised on a rural Washington farm. She was like other kids who went to school, enjoyed their days with their friends and dreamed of one day becoming a nurse to help support families in the communities they lived in. Tiffany received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Whitworth University in 2004.

She began her career in August 2005 when she was hired as a nurse at Walter Reed Hospital, where she spent 8 years of her life from April 2005 to January 2014. From January 2014 to January 2015 she worked as a triage nurse working with Northwest Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates Inc. In January 2016, she founded her self-funded company Tiffany Smiley to give strength to all those women who have lost all their responsibilities due to some government protocols and have nothing left to fight back.
Despite all the responsibilities and duties as a Senate representative in Washington, she is also the co-founder and president of Hope Unseen LLC, which she founded in January 2010 and still directs. Since May 2019 she is also working as a motivational speaker at BREEAM Speakers.

Tiffany’s husband served in the military and was one of the most respected figures in the military until he met with an accident while performing his duties in Washington in 2005 and was wounded by a suicide bomber in Iraq. During this time, Tiffany’s husband, Scotty, falls into a coma and permanently loses his sight. On one hand, Tiffany has to face her husband’s condition and on the other hand, she is asked to sign the release papers and let Scotty go home. He was also told that he could no longer do his job. But instead of signing any discharge papers, Tiffany fought back and went with all Army division protocol. She tried her best so that her husband could get good facilities from the government while he was still fighting against his dreams.
He fought the federal government and won. Because of her efforts, her husband Scotty is now recognized as America’s first active-duty blind officer. Nevertheless, he continued his education (MBA) at Duke University and was even called an “American hero” by Duke’s legendary basketball coach Mike Krzyszewski. Married to her high school sweetheart, Scotty Smiley, Tiffany Smiley had dreams of becoming a triage nurse to serve communities. But after her husband faced an accident, she put her dreams aside and fought for her husband’s responsibilities and position after being an army figure. Today, the couple has three boys, all of whom have entered their teens.
